rejected

Well, after nearly two weeks of waiting, we found out yesterday that our offer on house No. 1 was met with a big, fact rejection. The bank, after accepting our first counter and then our second, had finally had enough and went with some other house-hungry family. Sigh.

Now we wait to hear back on house No. 2 ... while we go out again tomorrow and look for house No. 3 "just in case." ;)
