I have decided that, though Cooper doesn’t associate the word “dada” with his actual dada, he definitely knows when dada isn’t around.
Chris has been away on business and I think Coop has been missing him. He’s been more of a booger than usual and in 11-month-old terms, I can only assume that the incessant, hours-on-end whining and obsessive clinginess means that he senses someone—dada—is missing.
Tug-on-your-heartstrings sweet and endearing that Coop misses Chris? Absolutely. Stomp-on-your-ever-last-nerve irritating and exhausting that he chooses to display his dada withdrawals with fits and spits? Abso-friggin-lutely!
Hurry home, Dada, Coop needs you. And Mama needs a nap.

Oh I so remember the days...I coped with Benadryl. Lots. Frequent doses of benadryl. Then you won't even know he's whining...
